World Heritage Site

A World Heritage Site is a place (natural or cultural) recognised by the international community in the shape of the World Heritage Convention declared by UNESCO in 1972, as possessing universal value, and coming under a collective responsibility for it's preservation. A country nominates a site to the Convention, and a decision on whether to include it in the World Heritage list made by a 21 member international committee.

Bangladesh is an independent Sourh Asian country. It has an area of about 1,47.570 sq. kilometers. It has three World Heritage Sites declared by UNESCO.
